Cable Company: Class Action for cable installers who were not paid overtime

While working for a subcontractor of Cablevision, cable installers and others similarly situated were not paid wages and overtime due them. This case is typical when a middleman or sub-contractor is used by larger companies such as Cablevision and others. In our experience, we have found that the installers are paid on a piece rate basis regardless of the hours they work. Very often these employees work 50, 60 hours a week without getting overtime. This is improper and can be actionable.
