The National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA)
NELA is the country's largest professional organization that is exclusively comprised of lawyers who represent individual employees in cases involving employment discrimination and other employment-related matters.

New York State Trial Lawyers Association

U.S. Department of Labor
The Department of Labor fosters and promotes the welfare of the job seekers, wage earners, and retirees of the United States by improving their working conditions, advancing their opportunities for profitable employment, protecting their retirement and health care benefits, helping employers find workers, strengthening free collective bargaining, and tracking changes in employment, prices, and other national economic measurements. In carrying out this mission, the Department administers a variety of Federal labor laws including those that guarantee workers’ rights to safe and healthful working conditions; a minimum hourly wage and overtime pay; freedom from employment discrimination; unemployment insurance; and other income support.

U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) enforces federal laws prohibiting job discrimination. EEOC also provides oversight and coordination of all federal equal employment opportunity regulations, practices, and policies.

The Office of Compliance
The Office of Compliance is an independent non-partisan agency established to administer and enforce the Congressional Accountability Act (CAA). The Office of Compliance administers the dispute resolution system established to resolve disputes that arise under the CAA; carries out an education and training program for the regulated community on the rights and responsibilities of the CAA; and advises Congress on needed changes and amendments to the CAA. The General Counsel of the Office of Compliance has independent investigatory and enforcement authority for certain violations of the CAA.

The United States Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is an independent agency of the United States government that manages the civil service of the federal government.

United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York
The Eastern District has 14 Active Judges, 12 Senior Judges and 15 Magistrate Judges. The district comprises the counties of Kings, Nassau, Queens, Richmond, and Suffolk and concurrently with the Southern District, the waters within the counties of Bronx and New York. The Eastern District has a population of eight million people.

United States District Court for the Southern District of New York
This Federal Court has jurisdiction over and summons jurors from the counties of New York, Bronx, Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, and Sullivan. The Court for the Southern District of New York hears cases in Manhattan, White Plains, and Middletown, New York.

New York City Commission on Human Rights
The New York City Human Rights Law is one of the most comprehensive civil rights laws in the nation. The Law prohibits discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodations based on race, color, creed, age, national origin, alienage or citizenship status, gender (including gender identity and sexual harassment), sexual orientation, disability, marital status, and partnership status. In addition, the Law affords protection against discrimination in employment based on arrest or conviction record and status as a victim of domestic violence, stalking and sex offenses. In housing, the Law affords additional protections based on lawful occupation, family status, and any lawful source of income. The City Human Rights Law also prohibits retaliation and bias-related harassment.

Americans with Disabilities Act
The ADA is a wide-ranging civil rights law that prohibits, under certain circumstances, discrimination based on disability. It affords similar protections against discrimination to Americans with disabilities as the Civil Rights Act of 1964[3], which made discrimination based on race, religion, sex, national origin, and other characteristics illegal.
